00-05 Dodge Neon/SRT-4 K20/K24 Swap Kit

Dodge Neon/SRT-4 K swap kit to install a Honda/Acura K20 or K24 into your 00-05 Dodge Neon/SRT4 chassis. This kit is designed for a FWD application & must be used with a K20 Rsx or Civic transmission 5/6 spd. There is no cutting or welding required to install this kit. Requires drilling 2 small holes in the rear subframe to bolt the rear motor mount bracket, the rest is all bolt on.

 Be sure to also add the K swap aluminum oil pan to your order as this is mandatory for the swap to bolt the rear engine mount.

***This Kit will NOT include Axles from me, they will be purchased directly from my Manufacturer “The Driveshaft Shop”. Anyone who purchases a kit will be provided the part number to place an order** PLEASE NOTE: The cost of my kit is a separate charge from the axles.

For high Horsepower applications or Track use I would suggest adding a Mid plate for extra durability

FAQ to the swap: 

Is there any cutting or welding required to the chassis for installation?

There is no cutting or welding required. Everything is bolt on, the kit requires drilling (2) 3/8 holes in the rear subframe to bolt the rear engine mount bracket. 

What Ecu can I use with this kit?

The engine harness is based off a 02-04 Acura Rsx so the simplest ecu to use is a 02-04 Hondata Kpro V3, or V4. You can also use AEM V2 for a 02-04 Rsx. If you get a jumper harness you may run AEM infinity or Fueltech ecu as well. Options are endless.

Will the factory gauges work?

Factory gauges such as speedometer, RPM, & coolant temp will not function. Fuel gauge will operate. The way around this would be to use a digital dash such as AIM Strada and wiring up the Can bus wires to Hondata Kpro, then you will get everything the computer monitors all in one LCD. 

How hard is it to wire up the conversion harness?

The supplied universal conversion harness itself is plug and play to the engine harness & Honda ecu. The rest is a matter of hooking up 4 wires to get the engine running. Red- (+) Positive battery terminal, Green- Ignition switched 12+, Black- Starter trigger, Blue- Output power for Fuel pump. That’s it

Which Throttle Cable do I use?

Use part # HYB-TRC-01-05. It’s a K series Long style cable made by Hybrid Racing and will clip into the factory SRT4 pedal. Will work on both Side feed intake manifolds as well as Center feed manifolds. 2 small slots will need to be made to the existing throttle cable hole on firewall.

What Transmission do I use?

There are many options when it comes to transmissions, all depends on your goals:

02-04 Honda Civic Si Ep3 (5 speed non LSD)

02-04 Acura Rsx Base model (5 speed non LSD)

02-04 Acura Rsx Type S (6 speed non LSD 4.3 Final Drive)

05-06 Acura Rsx Type S (6 speed Non LSD 4.7 Final Drive)

06-11 Honda Civic Si (6 Speed LSD 4.7 Final Drive) 

What shifter cables and Shifter box do I use?

Shifter box and cables must match transmission. If you are using Rsx or Ep3 Transmission you will use a Rsx style (A2) shifter box & cables. If you are using a 06-11 Civic Si transmission you will use the shifter cables and shifter box for the (Z3) as they work backwards from the Rsx.

Can I keep power steering? 

Yes, you would use an Acura Rsx power steering pump and use AN fittings/Lines from the steering rack to the pump and install a reservoir.
